Hutchinsons Switching on the Future of Farm Management
Broadcasting Omnia’s technical advantage and helping farmers switch on to a clearer, more confident way of managing their farms.

A once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine digital farming
In 2025, Omnia Digital Farming, part of Hutchinsons, entered a pivotal moment. After years of developing tools that support smarter, more precise farm management, Omnia was ready to evolve into something bigger…a unified platform designed to give farmers clarity, confidence and control.
At the same time, the wider market was shifting. It was a rare moment of openness in a sector where change is usually slow and deeply considered.
Omnia chose to take this time to step forward with a clearer, more distinctive voice. The challenge was how to cut through a crowded sector and become the platform farmers trusted. To help shape that presence, the team partnered with Optima, its long standing creative partner.
A standout presence
The campaign helped accelerate adoption, generating a marked rise in interest and consideration as more farmers chose Omnia as their next generation farm management system.
Before developing creative ideas, our team spent time immersing ourselves in the agriculture sector. Being based in Lincolnshire helped; in a single trip to the local newsagent, we collected an impressive pile of Farmers Weekly, Farmers Guardian, Arable Farming, Crop Production Magazine and numerous other titles.
Soon enough a familiar visual pattern emerged. Effective, but predictable. Omnia needed something fresher. It needed its own distinctive voice and style.
Our creative direction emerged naturally. After exploring several campaign territories, one idea stood out: Switch On to Omnia.
A call to action. A moment of clarity. A shift from the familiar to the future.

Bringing the idea to life
The concept of "switching on" led to a striking dark-to-light creative approach. The campaign began in monochrome, representing a world where information is fragmented, hidden and difficult to interpret. Through the act of switching on to Omnia, colour then flooded into the experience, revealing clarity, insight and possibility.
This direction built naturally on the Omnia identity our team had originally created several years earlier. The logo, inspired by precision farming, uses a vibrant palette to represent the information hidden beneath the surface. The campaign allowed us to lean heavily into colours and create something that felt unmistakably Omnia.
The idea proved remarkably versatile. Magazine advertisements transitioned from monochrome to colour. Digital advertising used animation to reveal vibrant data visualisations. Social content followed the same principle. One of the most effective executions was the campaign landing page, which appeared entirely in black and white before transforming into full colour at the click of a button, literally switching on to Omnia. This allowed visitors to experience the idea first-hand. A bit like taste the rainbow.
The concept even extended to promotional merchandise. Tote bags distributed at agricultural events featured monochrome artwork on one side and full colour graphics on the other. Simple but striking, they became one of the campaign's most talked-about elements and were visible across showgrounds long after they had left the Omnia stand. We experienced this ourselves at Cereals 2026 at Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm, where the event walkways were flooded with colour!
The final campaign extended across trade press advertising, magazine cover wraps, digital advertising, social media, email marketing, direct mail, event graphics, promotional merchandise and even a limited-edition Omnia beer.
More importantly, it gave Omnia a distinctive voice and visual identity at a moment when farmers were paying attention.
Looking towards the future of farm management.
Omnia positioned itself not just as a tool, but as a forward-looking partner, helping farmers embrace new possibilities and switch on to a smarter, more connected way of working.
By treating the campaign as a complete experience, we created a distinctive and highly recognisable presence that was impossible to ignore, helping Omnia stand out with clarity and confidence at a crucial moment in the market.
