Cyber Essentials Certified

Optima are pleased to announce that we are now certified under the UK Government and National Cyber Security Centre backed scheme.

Cyber Essentials was introduced to support organisations with being proactive and providing protection against the most common cyber attacks. With cyber attacks on the rise, Optima has been working hard to become certified to ensure the safety of our own IT systems but most importantly our clients’ data. 

In order to achieve this certification, we’ve had to implement and adhere to a selection of strict and stringent criteria to ensure we have the processes in place to become certified and mitigate the risk of any potential risk of cyber attacks from occuring. 

Such criteria includes the following:

• Firewalls
• Secure configuration
• User access control
• Malware protection
• Security update management

Being Cyber Essentials certified, our clients can have the peace of mind that Optima are investing in the protection of their data against the majority of common cyber attacks. As those who undergo these attacks look to target vulnerable organisations that do not have such measures in place. 

Now we are certified under this UK Government-backed scheme, we are working hard to achieve the Cyber Essentials Plus certification which would require our processes and systems being audited by highly trained assessors.
