Senior Designer
At Optima we bring together a knowledge and experience in creativity and passion. Our formula is based on maintaining close contact with our clients, whilst offering a truly comprehensive service.
Within the role of Senior Designer you will have a key part to play in leading Junior members of the design team throughout the design process on various projects from brand identities through to marketing materials and exhibition stands.
You should have a minimum of 7 years experience and should:
- be an excellent communicator
- be able to demonstrate the ability to support a team of Junior and Middleweight designers
- have the ability to advise on all print based projects in the studio
- work alongside our other Senior designers and support the Studio Manager and Creative Director
- be competent with liaising with clients and suppliers
- have a meticulous eye to detail and have the drive to create effective and strong solutions for our clients
- be a great team player with a ‘can do` attitude
- be confident in taking a key part in building on the success of the business

Junior Web Designer
Our younger smaller web team is advancing fast and prides itself on developing creative functionally strong websites whilst ensuring a sensitive approach to usability and accessibility principles. To continue its growth we are in need of a creative enthusiastic developer/web designer with a desire to build on their skill set.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a well-established highly creative, passionate studio using leading edge technologies and to work across an extensive and varied international client base. The role will involve input into most stages of a web design including costing, specing, information architecture, interface design, template creation and site build on a leading flexible, feature rich content management system.
You should have a minimum of one years commercial web developer experience and should:
- be experienced building well-structured HTML templates with elegant CSS to W3C standards compliance and WCAG awareness
- be able to demonstrate knowledge of interface design principles
- be highly creative
- understand the influence of search engines on web design
- have pixel perfect attention to detail
- be productive and efficient
- work well as part of a team
- be comfortable dealing directly with clients
The following skills, although not essential, would also be advantageous:
- implementing JavaScript and JavaScript libraries
- building websites on content management systems
- Flash and ActionScript 3
- PHP and MySQL
