Optima join the Corus Design Roster

Optima are thrilled to be chosen as one of the three design companies on the new Corus Design roster.
In November 2008 Optima were invited to tender for design roster list for Corus Long Products. The Long Products Division is made up Corus Construction & Industrial, Corus Engineering Steels, Corus Rail, Corus Narrow Strip, Corus Special Profiles, Corus' engineering services, Teesside Cast Products and Corus Tubes. We were delighted to be selected to present as one of 30+ companies longlisted and even though we had no previous working experience with Corus we made it on to the shortlist. Following presentations and more communication with the Marketing team in Scunthorpe, Optima were thrilled to be chosen as one of the three design companies on the new roster. Following a site visit and tour to experience what can only be described as the 'awesome' Corus Scunthorpe site (check it out on Google Earth) and a steep learning curve that we are on to get up to speed, we have recently started new projects to help market the high quality precision materials that Corus produce to the world.
