The Optima Communication Checklist

A handy list designed to help make sure our communications stays true to us. We don’t have to tick all the boxes, but we try to tick as many as possible. If something is not ticking any boxes, it needs a rethink!

Creative
Is it innovative in its approach, its medium, its channel? Does it tap into clever new ways to communicate directly with people, does it push emotional buttons, is it up-to-date and does it inspire belief and solve problems...

Honest
Is it true, is it straight to the point, down to earth, open and honest?

Warm
Does it draw people in, does it reflect the passion of real human beings, does it feel welcoming, is it emotional and engaging?

Brainy
Does it show Optima as clever, articulate, sharp individuals with an interest in the world around us, in business and cultural developments, in contemporary visual and design culture?

Confident
Does it put our best foot forward, does it stand proud, does it make a stand, does it stick its neck out, is it solid, believable, strong? Does it do this without arrogance or over-sell?

Generous
Is it helpful, informative, friendly, does it give people the things they need, answer questions, do them a favour?

Fun
Does it make people smile? Does it show some wit, some relish for the entertaining part of the creative process, does it help people share Optima's sense of fun? Does it do this without being flippant or clique-y?
