British Gypsum and Optima make buildings better at IHEEM
By Simon, Managing Director on 15 October 2010 | Category: Projects 0 comments
Optima have produced a fantastic and very successful new stand for British Gypsum to promote their range of highly durable materials at the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management Conference in Manchester.
Optima took the brief in August and worked quickly to develop a strong graphic style for the invitations to the show. The classic Lichtenstein styled images communicated the fact that despite cut-backs in the public sector, managers can refurbish using BG Gypsum systems cost effectively, safe in the knowledge that the products will stand the test of time and heavy use. The pow, crash, bang, scrraaatch... images were then used on test booths that Optima helped devise, create and graphic up, enabling the public to test the properties of British Gypsum's products.
Matt and Lorne in the studio also created carrier bag graphics, coaster and some fantastic packs of medical plasters which were based on a British Gypsum Bag of Plaster. Optima complemented this with online advertising graphics that ran up-to and during the show.
Paul French, Marketing Manager - BG Commercial commented.. "The Show was very good in terms of the quality of delegate that was attracted to the stand, and the level of interest they showed in our robust product / system offering. It was a low footfall event, however this was expected due to its focused nature. I had several people approach me on the stand purely to comment on how impressed they were with the look and message of our display. We even had one very traditional architect commenting that it was good to see the British Gypsum had re-discovered their sense of humour!"
